Video Poker - Review

Looking for a simple poker game for your Windows Telephone? Rick Keeney has developed Video Poker for Windows Phone 7 that puts five styles of video poker on your Windows Telephone.

Forth with the various styles of poker, the app will maintain your gaming stats to let yous know how well your playing. There are ii versions of Video Poker available. You accept an advertizing supported free version and if you don't like the imprint ads, a pay version is available for $.99.

To read more than on Video Poker, ease on by the break.

Game Layout

When you first launch Video Poker you are taken direct to the gaming screen. Payout data is listed in the upper left and your fleck count to the right. Your manus will display but beneath the payout information with hold buttons appearing below each card. You and then have the deal button and across the bottom of the screen (with the free version) you'll find the ad banner.

Betting is set at just one chip/credit per mitt and one time you bargain your cards, you tap the concord button to choose which cards your going to go along. Afterwards that, all you need to practise is tap the "draw" push to finish your hand.

Game Styles

Video Poker had v game styles that include:

  • Jacks or Better
  • Aces and Eights
  • Deuces Wild
  • Joker Poker
  • Double Joker

To cull your gaming manner, simply swipe the screen to the right and tap your game of selection.

Stats

Swipe the screen past the game choice page and you'll see your gaming statistics. Statistics include you electric current credits/fries, easily played, hours played, payout percentage equally well every bit the number of hands yous've won from.

Should you go broke, from the Statistics Page you can reload your credits to 100. If you want to start your stats from scratch, y'all can also reset them from this folio.

Overall Impression

Video Poker reminded me of the classic handheld poker games only gives you more gaming styles, meliorate graphics, and tracks your gaming performance.

I would accept liked to have seen the power to bet more than one credit/chip at a time. Betting one credit at a time gives the game a fiddling bit of a slot machine feel to it.

Video Poker ran smoothly but lacked an addictive quality for me. Information technology was a fun way to pass the time with but I just don't see spending more than 10-15 minutes playing it before I need to motility on to something else.

Video Poker does take a gratuitous version that will let y'all try things out for yourself. An advert free, pay version is also available for $.99. You can observe the free version here (opens Zune) at the Market place and the pay version is hither.
